God says that His yoke is easy
And His burden is light
So why do you carry loads
For which you have no might?
Your body grows weary
And your mind gets cluttered
With things you should give to God
But not a word have you uttered.
Not a word did you say to Him
As your body grew ill
How do you expect Him to answer
And your needs to fill?
Why do you ignore God
The One with the greatest strength
Who can lighten your baggage load
And shorten your weary travel in length?
The weight of the world was upon His shoulders
When Jesus died on the Cross
Don’t you know your burden was included
So that you’d not suffer loss?
Give everything to God today
Don’t hold back a part
Give Him your heart, your soul, your mind
Give Him your heart.
God’s mighty hand will reach down
Out of the splendor of His heavenly heights
And He will lift the load from your shoulders
To make your burden light.
The miles ahead will be easier
As you lift up your face
Knowing God is there with you
And He will strengthen your pace.
"My yoke is easy, and My burden is
