Stretch Out Your Hand

Jesus told the man to stretch out his withered hand
Because the man’s hand He wanted to restore
The Pharisees accusingly questioned Jesus
But the Pharisees He did ignore.

Is there one among you who wouldn’t their sheep help
If on the Sabbath into a pit it fell
How much more value is a man than a sheep
Jesus did not wait for the Pharisees to tell.

Jesus said to the man, “Stretch out your hand”
Out it was stretched and the hand was restored as new
The Pharisees then left and continued their plot
To take the life of Jesus, they planned to do.

Jesus healed the man with the withered hand
From there He left and continued all to heal
Of those from the great multitude which followed
For all these people great compassion Jesus did feel.

Throughout the land our Lord healed
This is the truth we know today
The truth is recorded in the Gospel of Good News
Truth is in all He did say.

To Jesus, you may stretch out your hand
Stretch it out so your healing may be
Body, soul, or spirit, Jesus will heal
Today, reach out to Him expectantly!

Jesus invites you to stretch out your hand
For He says, “I am the same yesterday, today, and forever”
Yes, today reach out for your healing
For Jesus, our Healer, will fail you never.
